Welcome to 6th Grade Earth Science! I am super excited about the new school year!

I currently teach 6th grade Earth Science, as well as, sponsor the FMS Ambassadors. This is my 2nd year at Fairplay Middle and my 11th year teaching. I obtained my bachelor's degree from the University of West Georgia and my master's degree from the University of Georgia. I am certified in all academic subject areas for middle grades and math for high school. I am also certified to teach gifted classes and have my Tier 1 Leadership certification.

I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for eleven years and a beautiful eleven year old daughter and handsome three year old son. I love the performing arts, spending time with my family, and going to church. I also have a slight obsession with sweet tea, Disney World, Johnny Depp, and the show, Supernatural. 

I have had a passion for teaching since I was a little girl and I love being in the classroom. My goal is for my classroom to be a place where my students can explore new concepts, find new understandings, and discover new ideas. We will make mistakes and learn from them, we will set high expectations and reach them, and we will work together to become a team and family.
